Peco Spotlight: Clarence Lumpkin
I started at Peco Foods in Sebastopol as a sanitation manager in 2000, and now, twenty-two years later, I’m the plant manager of Peco’s longest-running processing facility. As a family-owned company, Peco goes out of their way to love people and support them along the way. They have given me the opportunity to grow within the company, and I wouldn’t trade my experience here for the world.
“When we invest in our team members, we are helping build a stronger community. Peco has helped me grow, and I enjoy watching others thrive that never believed they could.” – Clarence Lumpkin, Tuscaloosa Processing Plant Manager
My favorite part of my role is being around people and continually challenging them to make every day better. Safety is our top priority, and my goal is to make sure team members go home the same way they come to work. Our plant was recently recognized for outstanding team member safety by Joint Poultry Industry Safety & Health Council. We take pride in both team member safety and the consistent, quality products we produce here.
