Food Safety Approach
Each of our processing facilities currently meet GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) Standards (BRC-British Retail Consortium) for production and products proudly produced by our teams. Every single Peco team member contributes to a culture of safety, food safety, and quality as a foundation for all we do and achieve.
Programs are in place to ensure the wholesomeness and quality of the products we deliver to our customers, as well as traceability programs from farm to fork.
Our facilities have active Food Defense plans that are assessed and updated for effectiveness.
In our daily activities we put emphasis on continuous improvement activities that drive product integrity and quality. We focus on ensuring that quality is built into our products so our customers and consumers can enjoy great tasting and wholesome food!
Peco is committed to the highest standards of performance necessary to exceed our customer’s expectations.
We strive to be leaders within our industry and are focused on achieving this by ensuring compliance in Food Safety, Food Legality, and Food Quality through our Quality Management Program (QMP) and Process Empowerment Program (PEP).
Peco’s QMP is designed to ensure processes are maintained in control resulting in products that are compliant to all laws, regulations, and rules while exceeding our customers’ expectations for food safety, quality, service, and cost. Our team members promote a culture of continuous improvement at all times, allowing us to meet the evolving expectations of our customers.
At Peco, we believe that to achieve complete customer satisfaction, quality is not the responsibility of a few but that it is the responsibility of all team members. Our focus is to do it right and to do the right thing.
Peco Foods has been producing poultry to our customers’ requirements with a broad range of restricted antibiotic claims for several years.
