Peco Foods, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic for our processing plant in Bay Springs, MS.

Summary Description:

• Performs a variety of duties in the trailer, tractor, and all motorized vehicles that are service by the truck shop.
• Be able to dismantle and rebuild machine components to manufactures specifications.
• Be able to use welding equipment, hand and machine tools to manufactures specifications.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment such as steer loaders, backhoes, forklifts and on-highway trucks.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines used in power generation, marine propulsion, and agricultural machinery.
• Comply with written company policies.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company GMP policies.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or a live operations management official.
  • Abnormal situation would be:
    • Product tampering
    • Willful product adulteration
    • Unauthorized employees in restricted areas
    • Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring
    • Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

Physical Demands:

• Standing / walking 100% of the workday.
• Being able to work in a mostly outdoor environment.
